At this weekend’s “Impact” conference at UTS in Sydney I presented a workshop reading from my screenplay, “Lulu”. On hand to lend their voices were Ryan Johnson (actor), Annabell Osborne (writer) and Stevie Ray (casting agent) to help out.
I also presented a summary of my research on Femme Noir. A term I have coined! Feme Noir is a sub genre of contemporary noir films in which the female protagonist and femme fatale mirror each other (e.g. Black Swan, Single White Female, In the Cut, Mulholland Drive.) Stay tuned for more as I wrap up my doctoral studies in the coming months.
